The New York Giants continue to punch above their weight class under first-year head coach Brian Daboll. This week, it came in the form of a 24-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, capitalizing on several late turnovers by Lamar Jackson

The Giants will enter their Week 7 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars with five wins — just two shy of their preseason betting win total of 7.

Offensive spotlight: It came in a losing effort, but Mark Andrews continues to serve as the clear-cut top target in Baltimore’s passing attack. Andrews was the only player on either offense to draw more than five targets, and he more than doubled that total with 11. Andrews dropped two passes on initial review, but he brought in both of his contested targets and came away with four receptions of at least 15 yards. Jackson was once again looking for him downfield, as Andrews’ 11 targets came nearly 15 yards downfield on average.

Defensive spotlight: Dexter Lawrence has been one of the more disruptive defensive tackles in the NFL this season, and that proved to be the case again here against Baltimore. His five quarterback pressures, on initial review, were tied for the most of any defender in the game. Lawrence wasn’t charged with any negatively-graded plays against the run on PFF’s initial review, either.

Rookie spotlight: The Giants received contributions from rookies on both sides of the ball. Daniel Bellinger and Wan’Dale Robinson combined for both of New York’s receiving touchdowns and six of the offense’s 11 total receiving conversions. Kayvon Thibodeaux also added a late strip sack of Jackson that ended up sealing the win — one of his five quarterback pressures for the game.

Offensive line spotlight: Daniel Jones took four sacks in this game, but the Giants offensive line did a decent job of keeping the Ravens’ pass rush at bay for the most part. Jones was pressured on just nine of his 32 dropbacks on initial review. It was a promising game for New York’s first-round pick Evan Neal, who was charged with just one quarterback hurry on 32 pass-blocking snaps. Neal’s five sacks allowed through the first five weeks were tied for the most of any right tackle in the NFL.
