With the sports betting industry evolving and gaining popularity, so is the way you can make NFL wagers. The days of just betting on sides and totals are over.
One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay: you add multiple legs that must win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points like 6, 6.5 or 7 in a direction that lowers risk.
Teaser Tips to Follow
• Never Cross over 0
• Tease through key numbers 3 and 7
• Tease games with lower totals, ideally anything 49 or less.
WEEK 15 TEASER BETS
Seattle Seahawks from +3.5 to +9.5 vs. San Francisco 49ers
• This is a big game for the Seattle Seahawks. After leading the NFC for most of the season, they have dropped three of their last four games and are currently the eighth seed in the conference. Their playoff chances improve to 74% with a win, but they drop to 31% with a loss.
• Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers head into Seattle looking to derail the Seahawks' season and cement themselves atop the AFC West. This will be Purdy's first road game, and unfortunately for him, it is one of the toughest stadiums to play in.
• There is no question that the 49ers have the better team, but they will be without playmaker Deebo Samuel. I like backing the prime-time home underdog that should be playing with more motivation as they try and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Baltimore Ravens from +3 to +9 vs. Cleveland Browns
• According to PFF's power rankings, the Baltimore Ravens are a top-10 team, even with Tyler Huntley as the starting QB.
• Huntley has gone 2-3 over his last five starts but has never lost by more than three points. He can keep the Ravens competitive and has the potential to lead the Baltimore Ravens to an outright win.
• The Ravens backup QB earned a 68.1 PFF grade over his five starts, averaging 5.7 yards per rush attempt and 5.7 yards per pass attempt. He produced 270 rushing yards, two rushing scores and 18 rushing first downs across 47 attempts in those contests.
• Huntley can lean on the run game with J.K. Dobbins back and can take advantage of a Cleveland Browns defense that ranks 31st in expected points added (EPA) allowed per play against the run.
Editor's note: Bet this teaser only if QB Tyler Huntley starts for Baltimore
Pittsburgh Steelers from +3 to +9 vs. Carolina Panthers
• The total for this game sits at 37.5, the second-lowest total this week. Totals this low present great teaser options.
• This game should be a defensive battle, as both teams rank in the top 15 in defensive success rate and EPA allowed per play.
• With Pittsburgh's defense getting healthier and the return of pass-rusher T.J. Watt, it may make for a long day for Panthers QB Sam Darnold, who has a 32.1 PFF passing grade on pressured dropbacks since entering the league.
Green Bay Packers from -7 to -1 vs. Los Angeles Rams
• Baker Mayfield and the Rams pulled off an incredible upset last week against the Las Vegas Raiders. But to do so, he had to lead the offense on a 98-yard drive, ending with a beautiful pass to Van Jefferson to seal the game.
• The Raiders have put up a 56.3 team coverage grade this year, the sixth-worst in the NFL. Green Bay, on the other hand, is sitting with the ninth-best grade at 78.3.
• Mayfield might have a more challenging time moving the ball in against a better pass defense while playing at Lambeau Field.
• Among 32 qualifying quarterbacks, Mayfield ranks dead last in success rate (35.6%) and EPA per dropback (-0.141).
